zbar for windows

rammohankn
All,
My PC is a windows 7 64 bit PC, I have got the ZBAR library and the DLL compiled for the 64 bit version.
Basic idea is to build a small app to read a real time camera and scan the bar code.

I am using openCV for the video scanning and zbar internally by the CV to mark it, scan and display the information.

However, zbar seems to be crashing after the scanning is performed.

scan.cpp

Sample source has been uploaded, I tried with an image as an input and it works fine. However when I get the image from a video, process it and send the image for bar code recognition, it crashes ! No idea on why, I am very new to this anyways.

Grateful if someone can help me out ASAP, as we have a tight schedule.

Ram.

Hi Ram,

unfortunately you don't provide any form of backtrace or crashdump, so it's
anyway impossible to tell why your program would crash, and I think when you
have one you could find out more easily by yourself.
What is different between the test image file and the one scanned by openCV? One
wild assumption is zbar might choke on the format or similar.
Does highering the logging verbosity reveal something?

Also, since this isn't windows-related and the real motiviation of zbarw was to
provide a directshow driver, you might have better chances getting help on the
zbar forums/mailing list.

Klaus
